Open Veteran Badminton c’ship concludes

Principal Correspondent Kohima, October 17 The two day long 2nd Open Veteran Badminton Championship 2014 organised by of Kohima Badminton Club under the theme “I am Fit” under concluded this evening at Indoor Badminton Stadium here. S.D. Angami and Cuzoto Resuh bagged the champion’s position in 55 years and above category while Rikhy Rana and Raj Kumar were placed runners-up. In 45 years & above category: Amardeep and Arep won the first place while runners-up were I. Temjen and N. Wati. In 35 years and above: Champions were Lanu and Nochet while runners-up were Moa and Rhovisie. The champion and runners up in each category received cash award of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000 with T-shirts. Parliamentary Secretary for School Education Yitachu gracing the closing function as chief guest gave away the awards to the winners along with Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD and Economic & Statistic Tohanba and Badminton Coach Meren Paul.
