Open Basketball Tournament enters day- three

Taurus, Stallions remain undefeated

Kohima, May 9 (EMN):   Taurus and Stallions are in the driver’s seat as they remained undefeated on the third day of the ongoing 10th Open Basketball Tournament (OBT) being played at Khuociezie local ground on Wednesday. The tournament is organised by the Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) and Suncity Kohima.

In the first match that was played on Wednesday Ephraim bounced back from Tuesday’s defeat to beat Akelos 56-30. While Akelos came back strong in the second match of the day by overpowering Last Kings by 42-35. Ephraim suffered another defeat at the hands of Orca in the fifth match 61-71.

Defending champions Taurus trounced Ophidina by 41-16. TMB continued their form as they defeated Orca 46-26 in the second match. In the last match, Stallions stunned TMB 77-69 as the league matches entered day-four on Thursday.

The first match on Thursday will commence at 10:00 am. Players have been informed to report by 9:30 am.

Dr. Kenei Miachieo, Conservator of Forests, was the match patron for day-three.

2nd Match : Mission Giants Vs S. Naga Trouncers

3rd Match : Last Kings Vs Stallions

4th Match : TMB Vs Akelos

5th Match : Mission Giants Vs Ophidians

6th Match : Taurus Vs Cretan Bulls

7th Match : Last Kings Vs Ephraim

8th Match : Stallions Vs Orca.
