Kohima, Sep. 20 (EMN): Commemorating the ‘Year of the word of God’ as well as to encourage Bible learning, Mary Help of Christians Cathedral, Kohima, has organised an online quiz, song, video etc.
The contest, which is being organised exclusively for the parishioners of Cathedral, Kohima, was declared opened by the bishop of Kohima Diocese, James Thoppil on September 20. The family-wise contest (team work) comprising 45 families would culminate on December 6.
A quiz competition based on the Gospel of Matthew got underway on September 20. Quiz competitions based on the Gospel of Mark, Luke, John and on the letters of St. Paul would be held on September 27, October 4, October 11 and October 18 respectively.
Competitions on poster, song, video etc. would begin from October 25 to November 15. The winners of the competition would be declared on December 6. A total cash prize of INR 90,000 has been set aside for the events by the parish. The champion family would receive a cash award of INR 30,000; while the first runner-up would receive INR 20,000 and the second runner-up would receive INR 10,000.
Besides, the organisers have decided to award ten consolation prizes amounting to INR 3,000 each to the participating families. The organisers have further informed that registration of the participants would be done under the name of the head of the family.
