Dimapur, Jan. 22: One person identified as Moangba Aier (59 years), son of Late Yanger of Lirmen village has been run over by a running train on January 22 at Dimapur Railway station.
The incident happened while the man was rushing towards the speeding train after he had got down to get his luggage.
Moangba Aier who is a carpenter by profession was on his way to his village along with four of his other friends.
The OC of GRPS Dimapur mentioned that both the legs of the victim has been run over leaving him in a pool of blood. He said a GD entry has been made under the GRPS as part of the record.
The patient is said to have been taken to the District Hospital Dimapur after which he was shifted to Zion Hospital for further treatment.
He is presently undergoing surgery at the ICU in Zion Hospital.
The patient is said to be out of danger now.
