One person goes missing from quarantine centre in Kohima

Kohima, June 1 (EMN): A person admitted at a quarantine centre in Kohima reportedly went missing on Sunday, May 31.
In a letter addressed to Chief Medical Officer Kohima, Dr Shasinlo Magh, Medical officer at K Badze quarantine centre stated that one of the inmates at the facility went missing on May 31 since 1:30 pm.
“On spot verification, it was found out that the inmate broke open the grill of the window and escaped through as reported by the security”, it stated.
The person was admitted at the quarantine centre on May 24. He returned from Uttar Pradesh and was suppose to go to Imphal, Manipur after the quarantine was over.
A reliable source told Eastern Mirror that the person appeared to be mentally challenged, by observing his behaviour, and the way he interacts. However, due to absence of clinical doctor in the quarantine centre, his status was yet to be medically confirmed.
The source added that he might have mistakenly boarded one of the transportations meant for Kohima returnees, while on his way to Imphal.
The person reportedly escaped through a bathroom window by removing the iron grill.
Earlier on May 29, he escaped from the quarantine centre and was brought back from Dihoma village, source informed.
Till the filing of this report, the missing person was yet to be traced.
