One person drowned in Dhasiri River Dimapur

Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): One person drowned in Dhasiri River Dimapur on Friday and the body was later retrieved by State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Dimapur.

The incident happened when the victim, aged around 27, was swimming with his friends in the river, Y Khenito Chishi, in-charge of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Dimapur, informed Eastern Mirror.

It was reported that the young man was swimming with two friends in the river opposite Greenwood School, Dimapur, when he drowned.

Chishi informed that they received the call at around 3-4 pm on Friday and retrieved the body at around 5 pm after a search operation.
