One killed in Golaghat after being hit by Nagaland police vehicle, says report

Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): A person has been said to have been killed reportedly after being hit by a vehicle in a convoy of Nagaland Police vehicles around 7.25 pm on Wednesday at the Barapathar rail crossing in Golaghat district of Assam. Late night reports on Sep. 13 said that the convoy of Nagaland police were headed for Dimapur from the border town of Bhandari. According to sources quoting a reporter from Golaghat, a bus and around four to five small vehicles comprised the convoy. Two riders were travelling on the motorcycle when they were hit, the reports said. One of them, Sania Basfor, a 24-year old, was reported to have died on the spot. The reports said that an agitated mob torched one of the small vehicles, reported to be a Gypsy. Independent confirmation could not be had at the time of this report going to the press.
