Dimapur, March, 2: 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) alongwith a police representative held one civilian, identified as Mhonchumo Lotha, son of Rao Lotha with illegal arms from Industrial Colony Baghty Town, Wokha district on March 1.
During the search operation, one Lee Enfield No 4 Mk-I .303 Rifle, nine live rounds of .303 rifle, two fire cases of .303 rifle and five live cartridge of 12 Bore were recovered from his possession.He is said to be employed as the caretaker of rubber and tea plantation.
The apprehended along with the rescovered arms was handed over to Bhandari Police Station and an FIR has been lodged against the individual.
