One person, identified as 25-year-ol Angao Konyak of Longwa village under Mon district, was found murdered Friday morning at KS Wotsami Complex, Golaghat Road in Dimapur. The deceased, was employed as a “caretaker’ at the commercial complex.
Police sources said that the body, bearing wounds inflicted by a dao on the head, was discovered after 8.30 am on Friday.
After the completion of post mortem examinations, the body was handed over to the family.
Even as police have established strong leads in connection with the murder, Dimapur police officials on Friday opted not to make public the clues in order to avoid any hurdle(s) in the process of their investigation.
The suspect reportedly decamped with around Rs 2 lakhs after breaking in to the safe of Modicare, a business establishment housed inside the complex.
