One dies in Wokha road mishap

Wokha, March 31 (EMN):
A 47-year-old man was killed while two others sustained injuries in a road mishap that occurred at Satsupen about 10 km away from Wokha headquarters at around 9:30 am.

The victim was identified as Temsu Wati, a serving pastor of Borlengri Ao Baptist Church, Dimapur.

The officer in-charge of Wokha police station, N Kikon, informed that the cause of the accident could not be ascertained. The deceased along with his wife, father, and driver were travelling from Dimapur to Mokokchung when the mishap occurred.

The driver and the deceased’s father sustained minor injuries and were taken to civil hospital Wokha for medical aid, while the deceased’s wife escaped unharmed.

The vehicle (Bolero) in which they were travelling, rolled down around 150 meters below the road.
It is the second casualty reported in the month of March at Wokha.
