One dead, five injured in Dimapur road accident

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): A 40-year old woman was killed and two sustained injuries in a road accident at 5th Mile near Indian Oil Petrol Pump in Dimapur on Saturday night, October 31.

Speaking to Eastern Mirror, the additional deputy commissioner of police and public relations officer, T Relo Aye, informed that a Mahindra Bolero vehicle collided with an oncoming truck that was moving on the wrong side of the highway.

The police officer informed that there were six occupants in the Bolero car and the lady was brought dead to the hospital. The three injured persons were out of danger.

Aye informed that they received the information around 11:30 pm on October 31 and FIR has been lodged. The truck driver and one accomplice were arrested for further investigation.

Dimapur Police on November 1 tweeted, ‘One dead and five injured in a road accident at 5th Mile on Saturday night, October 31, when their vehicle collided with an oncoming truck that was moving on the wrong side of the highway.
