One AR jawan killed, four injuried in Manipur

Imphal, June 15 (EMN): Assam Rifles Havildar was killed while four others sustained injury in a bomb attack at a remote area of Manipur’s newly created Kamjong district bordering Myanmar on Thursday.
The incident of exploding a bomb suspected to be an improvised explosive device took place when personnel of 17 Assam Rifles posted at Kasom Khullen were patrolling at Kasong area, about 115 km north east of state capital –Imphal around 11.50 am, sources said.
The deceased Havildar has been identified as one L Gogoi. The four injured personnel who are yet to be identified, were airlifted by a helicopter to a military hospital located at Red Shields division headquarters, Leimakhong, about 25 km north of Imphal soon after the incident. Additional security forces have rushed to the area and conducted massive manhunt, it added. However there is no report of arresting any suspect involved in the incident. No armed group operating in the state also claimed responsibility for the attack till the report goes to the Press.
