Dimapur, Nov. 10 (EMN): Executive engineer of Urban Development has assured to rectify all lapses in the construction of Old Dhansiri bridge between Supermarket and Purana Bazaar and complete it in the month of December.
The executive engineer Ketouzo made this assurance to the East Dimapur GBs’ Association (EDGBA) during a joint inspection, an update from the association president Niuto Awomi stated on Tuesday.
Ketouzo, on behalf of the department, along with the GBs inspected the bridge and found the issue raised by the association to be genuine. During the joint inspection, it was found out that the construction of the wing wall was in total disorder and the executive engineer had assured the GBs to rectify all the lapses and complete the construction of the bridge by next month.
Earlier, the association had raised the matter with the department pertaining to the delay and lapses in the construction of Old Dhansiri bridge.
In this regard, the association has acknowledged the department for its prompt response to the legitimate issues raised by the association and expressed hope that the construction of the bridge would be carried out as per the specifications and complete within the stipulated timeframe.
