DIMAPUR — Public sector oil marketing companies have assured uninterrupted availability of petrol, diesel and cooking gas across Nagaland amid concerns over fuel supplies, while appealing to consumers not to resort to panic buying.
According to a statement issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Kohima, on Tuesday, the State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry said the supply of essential petroleum products, including petrol (MS), diesel (HSD) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), remains “normal and uninterrupted” across all supply channels of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in the state.
The statement said the overall fuel supply position in Nagaland continues to remain “stable and adequate”.
It stated that the entire supply chain, from terminals and depots to retail outlets, is functioning efficiently without disruption, while fuel stocks are being continuously monitored and replenished across all locations in the state.

While assuring citizens that there is no cause for concern, the oil companies appealed to the public to continue with normal consumption patterns and avoid panic buying.
Consumers were further advised to rely only on official communications from oil marketing companies for accurate and verified information regarding fuel availability.
