DIMAPUR, JUNE 26
The second edition of Offroad Maestro 2015, organized by the Association of Offroaders Nagaland (AON), was flagged off today at State Stadium.
Altogether 13 energetic participants from Nagaland and other neighbouring states are taking part in the two days Offroad Maestro, which is the first of its kind in Northeast.
The event kicked off after a short inaugural programme with MLA Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu as the chief guest. Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Neiphrezo said that such event initiated by AON is a good platform to start off for sport lovers of Nagaland and other Northeastern states. He said offroaders can take active roles during natural calamities when connectivity and travelling becomes a problem. He further added that offroaders, through the sport, also learn disaster management during difficult times.
To all the offroaders, the chief guest said that good discipline and nature should follow when on the roads as there are misconceptions among public because of the loud noises and the high speed of the offroaders.
While encouraging the offroaders to discipline themselves in all spheres of life, the chief guest also called upon the offroaders to expertise themselves and to compete with the outside world while bringing fame to the state.
The two days even will conclude on June 27.
