Dimapur, Feb. 16 (EMN): The election establishment of Nagaland has trained officers in election expenditure monitoring associated with the general elections to the Lok Sabha, 2019. A training programme was held in the deputy commissioner’s establishment in Kohima on February 16.
Updates from the DIPR on Saturday stated that the state’s chief electoral officer Abhijit Sinha, addressed the officers. He highlighted various roles and responsibilities that will be performed during the election. He asked them to go through the ‘compendium of instructions on election expenditure monitoring’ and get oriented with the guidelines stipulated by the Election Commission.
‘Whatever you have learnt in the training today, you try to supplement it from the Compendium and implement it in your respective areas for the successful conduct of the Election,’ the CEO was quoted as having said.
Officers of various cells from the Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell from various districts attended the training, the DIPR.
