Officials asked to visit health centres

Dimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): After reviewing the activities of different health centres in the district, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Mokokchung, Dr. R Chubala Aier, has urged the health officials to visit the sub-centres at least once a month and supervise the ANMs and health workers in maintaining different registers.

Dr. Chubala stated this during the review meeting of  district health society held on September 27 in the conference hall of the CMO, a report from the DPMU unit, CMO office Mokokchung stated.

Deputy CMO has stressed on the importance of reporting and recording of the different health activities implemented. He also added that measures should be taken to sterilise wastes.

The DIO also spoke on the need to motivate and conduct capacity building training for ASHAs as they moderate in the health delivery system.

NHP and UNDP team member highlighted about their ongoing programmes and different health units also made power point presentations of their activities, gaps and challenges.

Besides the CMO and the Deputy CMO, programme officers, SMOs, MOs, members from different programmes such as DPMU, DAPCU and health personnel attended the meeting.
