Official inspects ICDS projects in Pfutsero

DIMAPUR — Assistant director of Social Welfare department and nodal officer of Poshan Abhiyaan, Asangla Jamir, undertook an official tour and inspection of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) projects in Pfutsero sub-division under Phek district on October 17 and 18.

She was accompanied by Moamenla, CDPO, ICDS-Pfutsero; Vekhayi Ruho, supervisor of ICDS-Pfutsero, and Nyitso Therie, supervisor, ICDS-Pfutsero.

An update from the department stated that the team covered 62 Anganwadi centres comprising 13 villages and three towns during the tour.

The team inspected the functioning of Anganwadi centres, performance of Anganwadi workers and helpers, uploading of activities in the Poshan tracker, mobile number and Aadhar verification of eligible beneficiaries. Besides, the team had interactions with Anganwadi workers and helpers and village functionaries and highlighted the roles and responsibilities of Angawadi workers and helpers.

The visiting officer from the Directorate of Social Welfare Department also inspected the CDPO office in Pfutsero and held a meeting with the officer and staff.
