Observers reviews poll preparedness in Kohima

DIMAPUR — General observer P Ramesh and police observer Sukesh Kumar Jain reviewed the poll preparedness in Kohima district with the deputy commissioner and district election officer Kumar Ramnikant, superintendent of police Bharat Laxman Markad, and nodal officers of various election-related teams at the DC's conference hall on Wednesday.

According to a DIPR report, the observers lauded the preparedness of the election team and cautioned against complacency, emphasising the need to ensure the conduct of free, fair, and peaceful elections in accordance with Election Commission of India directives.

Also, hands-on training on electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) was imparted to both observers by the district level master trainers.
