DIMAPUR, AUGUST 21

THE Nagaland Zoological Park received five green pigeons from MLA and Chairman, Nagaland Pollution Control Board, Amenba Yaden, today.
A press statement from Officer-in-Charge of Nagaland Zoological Park, Obed Bohovi Swu informed that the MLA while giving the birds to the Park had urged all Nagas to “come forward to safe our wildlife wealth and stop killing of wildlife.”
He also informed that on August 14, one python measuring around 10 feet was rescued from Chungtia village and brought to the zoo by the villagers. One leopard was also received from Divisional Forest Officer, Peren, Samuel Chankija on August 16 and an owl on August 17.
The park officials were overwhelmed by such acts and thanked all donors for their noble gestures, the statement said.
