NYK Longleng organises Neighbourhood Youth Parliament
DIMAPUR —The district-level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament, jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Longleng, and the Longleng district administration, was held on Saturday at CMTC Hall, Longleng, with EAC Vitolu as the special guest.
According to a report from DIPR, Vitolu, in his speech, emphasised the importance of discipline and punctuality and encouraged the youth to participate in every platform.
Speaking on ‘New India, new initiative’, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC Longleng, urged the youth club to explore innovative ways of utilising the internet and to actively engage in social activities.
Earlier, the keynote address was delivered by Kisor Barman, district youth officer, NYK Longleng, where he briefed the gathering on how to register on MyBharat portal.
Sports materials were distributed to 14 youth clubs across Longleng district. Also, the Election Department of Longleng conducted a demonstration on electronic voting machines (EVMs), including instructions on how to use the VVPAT machine.
All 65 youth clubs participating in the programme were given a voting demonstration.
