Nyenshen FC win Nagaland Futsal Championship title

DIMAPUR — Nyenshen FC Tuensang emerged champions of the 3rd Nagaland Futsal Championship 2023 after defeating Lengreng FC Peren 5-2 in the final at JJ Arena in Chümoukedima on Friday.

As per an update received on late Friday night, the winning team Nyenshen FC were awarded a cash prize of INR 1 lakh and will represent Nagaland in national futsal championship, while the runners-up Lengreng FC won a cash prize of INR 50,000,

The Lengreng FC beat Black Pearls Kohima via a tie break in the semi-final to take on the Nyenshen FC, which defeated Vanguard FC in the second semi-final, for the championship title.

The tournament by organised by the Nagaland Football Association and hosted by Chümoukedima District Foorball Association.
