Nyemlang-led NSCN (K) accuses NSCN-IM of spreading propaganda

Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): The Nyemlang Konyak-led NSCN (K) has accused the NSCN-IM, stating that the group along with Yung Aung is trying desperately to whip the emotion of unfounded and unsubstantiated claims of “East-West divide”.

“In tacit collaboration with India government, the NSCN-IM is not only instigating but physically and materially supporting Yung Aung as his cohorts and trying to repeat the self-destructive history of 1988 by spreading their insidious propaganda of East-West divide,” the NSCN /GPRN MIP (in-charge) Nikato Pilot Sumi stated in a statement issued on Thursday.

“Their conduct and policy towards fellow Nagas would surely entail an ominous and far reaching consequence for generations to come,” it added.

“NSCN-IM may have fooled a section of Naga gullible enough to believe and mostly bought by Indian rupees, with the wilful support of Indian government. Pseudo nationality are trying to persuade people towards a ruinous path of servitude under an alien culture with false gods but Nagas are not so naive as to fall prey to their deceitful tongues,” it said.

Stating that the NSCN/GPRN has so far avoided any unwarranted acts against its own fellow Nagas and has unilaterally maintained the peaceful disposition, the group however said that ‘it cannot stand ideally as our sovereign political rights are bartered away’.

Total capitulation of Nagas is not only a wishful thinking but untenable as long as NSCN/GPRN steadfastly stands to defend the sovereign political rights of all Naga-inhabited areas, it stated.

“May the patriotic acts of NSCN/GPRN inspire legions of present and future Naga generations to take up the mantle of defending our sovereign political rights, long after we are gone,” it added.
