DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) on Monday organised a ‘see-off’ programme for Team Nagaland which will be participating at the 12th AITWPF Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Championship, scheduled to be held from October 3 to the 6th in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The programme, held at Sechü Zubza Village Council hall, was blessed by Niketu Iralu, social activist and Javitso Lhousa, executive secretary of Western Angami Baptist Church Council, prayed for the Team Nagaland wrestlers, an update stated.
It may be mentioned that before the team’s departure, a five-day camp for the 36 wrestlers was held at Sechü Zubza from September 25.
The team is led by the NWA president Vivolie Kezo as the team director, Keneilel Kevin Rote as team manager, Rangsilang as men’s team coach, Icetdaile Haikube as women’s team coach and Mezhiesino Keyho as the team coordinator.
The team is also accompanied by two officiating referees, Surhoneyi Soho and Keduovilie Zumu; three refresher course referees, Seyielhoukho Sechü, Vetsüto Kezo and Itingngau Haingielak. D Mosonyi Domeh, vice president of AITWPF will also accompany the team.
