NVFA to hold inter-district football tournament in September

Dimapur: The Nagaland Veterans’ Football Association (NVFA) held its general meeting on April 18, attended by representatives from six district associations.

During the meeting, the Nagaland Veterans Inter-district Football Tournament 2023 was resolved to be held in September, an update stated.

NVFA invited any of the district associations to host, and co-organise the tournament; they may offer their bid in writing latest by June 7, it said.

It said the cash prize will be enhanced from the current year – champions INR 50,000; runner-up INR 30,000 and two semi-finalists INR 15000 each.

Entry fee will remain at INR 30,000 each for every district association (team), it added.
