Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): The Unemployed Trained Nurses Association (UTNA) on Monday appealed to Health department to consider appointing ‘trained nurses’ as they are qualified.

The association issued a press release on Wednesday stating to be ‘sincerely waiitng’ for appointment for some time.

The UTNA claimed that the trained nurses had been ‘sincerely waiting’ for the past 16-17 years for their appointment.

It stated that most of them had crossed 35 years of age while waiting for the appointment. However, the association asserted that it ‘should not be an issue’ in matters of appointment because ‘we are qualified trained nurses who are eligible to be appointed.’

The association appealed to the department to consider appointing them ‘as per the norms practiced till date by the department.’ The association warned about taking legal recourse if their request for appointment ‘fails.’
