NU(L) students welcome new members

Dimapur, Aug. 27 (EMN): Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami, (NUSU-L) organised a reception programme for new members on August 23 on the theme “Designing destiny.”
The morning session was graced by Dr. Hotokhu Chishi, Additional Director of Health and Family Welfare, as the guest speaker. In the evening session, Imlibenla Wati was the invited guest judge for the Mr and Miss Fresher 2019 contest, who also sponsored the winning prize.

Khyochamo Yanthan and Kuthuno Cukhamu were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher 2019. Nsimtube Ndang was declared Mr Personality 2019, while Lochumlo Shitiri was crowned Miss Congeniality 2019. Inaka Yeptho was declared Mr Photogenic 2019 and Tongpangkokla Aier was declared Miss Photogenic 2019.

This was stated in a joint statement issued by NUSU-L general secretary, Süyievelü Venuh, and the information secretary, Mewekhro Mero.

Tanubhav Bhagawati, Class VI student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), NU Lumami, was declared winner of the quiz competition in the category from Class VI to XII from among 38 KVS of Tinsukia region at the regional-level Rashtriya Ekta Parv 2019 (Social Science Exhibition 2019) held at KVS Itanagar on August 22.

Besides, Vishesh, Class XII student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dimapur, was declared winner in the second position. PRO of Nagaland University stated that they would represent Tinsukia Region at the KVS national-level Rashtriya Ekta Parv 2019 to be held in the month of October in New Delhi.

Tanubhav Bhagawati, student of Class VI, and Waluniba Longchar, student of Class VI, of KV Lumami represented Dimapur cluster in the quiz competition. The quiz team was led by a music teacher, Rudresh Chhapola.
