Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she thinks that the nude pic scandal is a sex crime and the people responsible for it are guilty for sexual violation.
The ‘Hunger Games’ star said that the incident is disgusting and the law needs to be changed, and we need to change, which is why these websites are responsible, the BBC reported.
Oscar winning actress said that just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody’s mind is to make a profit from it is beyond her.
She said that anybody who looked at those pictures, they are perpetuating a sexual offence and should cower with shame.
Lawrence said she was gutted when she found out about the leak of nude photographs and was just so afraid and that she didn’t know how this would affect her career
The 24-year-old actress said that just because she’s a public figure, an actress, does not mean that she asked for this and it does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s her body, and it should her choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting.
Lawrence added that she can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.
