NU to host CBP for faculty members in social science

DIMAPUR — The head of Department of Education, Nagaland University (NU), and patron of ICSSR-CBP, Prof. Buno Liegise, has announced a two-week capacity building programme (CBP) for Higher Education faculty members in Social Science, from May 7 to the 18th, at Department of Education, NU Meriema campus.

The programme, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), aims to enhance the academic and research excellence in higher education, an update stated.

The CBP aims to equip faculty members with essential skills and knowledge for advancing teaching and research in the social sciences. The programme also promises to provide a rich learning experience comprising immersive sessions, interactive workshops, and insightful discussions led by distinguished experts in the field.

Liegise expressed enthusiasm for hosting the event, highlighting its significance in fostering academic growth and innovation within the higher education sector. She went on to mention that the programme’s focus is to empower educators to meet the evolving demands of teaching and research excellence in social sciences.

The CBP represent a collaborative effort between the Department of Education, Nagaland University, and ICSSR, reflecting their shared commitment to promoting scholarly advancement and intellectual development among faculty members across the nation, it stated.
