DIMAPUR — MGM College in Dimapur organised short welcome programme for Nagaland University (NU) inspection team at the college auditorium on Tuesday.
An update from the college informed that the NU inspection team namely Prof. AK Mishra of Commerce department, Prof. Y Ben Lotha of History and Archaeology department and Prof. MAJ Khan of English department are on visit to the college for renewal of affiliation.
Speaking at the programme, Prof. Mishra, convenor of the inspection team, emphasised on the basic foundations of learning and education in order to tackle any challenge in life. He encouraged the students to make learning their mission and contribute to the society through their achievement.
It stated that Dr. Vili Kibami, assistant professor of Sociology, led the programme, while the welcome address was delivered by Rev.Fr. Dr. PS Varghese, principal of the college. The principal briefed on the history of St. Thomas Society and the history of the college and welcomed the inspection team from NU.
Report stated that Ahikali I Jakha said the invocation prayer and Dr. RK Behera, vice principal of the college, said the benediction.
It further stated that the visiting team undertook physical verification of the infrastructure, interacted with faculty members and with the founding society members.
