NTUCT to check sale of illegal substances in town

Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): The Naga Tribal Union Chumoukedima Town (NTUCT) held its 12th general body meeting at CTC hall on Nov. 19 where all the representatives of the Naga indigenous tribes within its jurisdiction as well as special invitees and officials from the administration attended.
The union, which was earlier called Tribal Union Chumukedima Town, adopted its First Reviewed Constitution Amendment as well as a 6-point Resolution. During the Business Hour, the house resolved to continue with its blanket ban of sale of liquor both country and foreign liquor as well as banned drugs in the area.

It also resolved to keep vigil upon some youngsters who go out for jogging in the wee hours and indulge in immoral activities and also take banned substances; the house also cautioned the parents to keep check on their wards/children in this regard.

The house also decided to check shops, butchers etc. in regard to sale of expired goods, illegal/banned goods after taking prior permission from the concern office, this was stated in a press release by the general secretary of the union, Bendangwati Sangtam.
The Yimchungru Surale Cultural Society presented a folk song at thre programme.
