NTC expresses ‘serious’ concern on violence

The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has expressed serious concern on the continuous violence in the State shocking the peace loving citizens of the State. NTC in a statement said the cases of firing and bomb explosions at Dimapur and Kohima and of late at Wokha resulting in lost of 8 precious lives and injuries and further damaging properties are found to be ‘dreadful and disturbing’. The NTC then condemned all such terror activities involving arms and explosive devices on its citizens. It further lamented on the ‘failure’ of the governmental agencies for not making any progress to unearth the nefarious activities of those involved.
The NTC urged upon the State Government to immediately institute an enquiry in to the incidences and bring to light the actual causes and to book the culprits to restore law and order in the interest of the peace loving citizens.
The NTC conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray to the almighty God to grant them solace at this time of pain and sorrow.
