All India Sainik schools’ entrance examination on Jan. 10

Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination-2021 (AISSEE) on January 10, 2021 for admissions to classes 6 and 9 in 33 Sainik schools spread across 23 states and one union territory.

An update from PRO (Def) Kohima, Lt. Col. Sumit K Sharma, stated that the process of online applications which started on October 20 would close on November 19. It informed that candidates are required to submit their applications after registering on the website: https://aissee.nta.nic.in adding a detailed information bulletin is also available on the NTA website: www.nta.ac.in.

It also informed that the academic session 2021-22, reservation in admission for OBC-NCL category has been introduced. It added that girl candidates are now eligible for admission to class 6 in all 33 Sainik schools.

Admission would be based on the performance of candidates in the written examination such as school-wise, class-wise, category-wise rank in merit list and medical fitness as approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents. It further stated that advisory regarding Covid-19 would be adhered to during the conduct of the AISSEE, it informed.
