DIMAPUR — Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) launched its 22nd branch office at Kiamngan ward in Noklak town on May 11, which was inaugurated by MLA and chairman of Noklak district planning and development board (DPDB), P Longon.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Longon has termed the event as a milestone achievement for the people of Noklak. As the economy of the district is based on agri-related activities, he exuded confidence that the opening of a bank would boost the economy and uplift the rural and urban people of the district, stated a DIPR report.

Longon advised the people to get loans from the banks and repay on time. He also encouraged the people to work hard and start businesses by availing loan from the bank. He further requested the bank staff to give guidance for the uplift of the people.

Also speaking on the occasion, MLA Benei M Lamthiu lauded the pioneers and stakeholders for the achievement in opening the NStCB branch office in Noklak. He urged the people to give full cooperation to the bank staff and get full benefits.

Earlier, Benei M Lamthiu inaugurated the NStCB ATM booth in Noklak town.

In his keynote address, the managing director of NStCB, Bendangnungsang, stated that the aim of NStCB is to help the customers achieve economic success and financial security.

He requested all the account holders and customers to open social security schemes and also spoke on cash deposit ratio and non-performing assets.

The deputy commissioner of Noklak, Arikumba, requested the bank to extend all possible help and guide the people. He also urged all the people to give full cooperation to the staff.

The vice chairman of NStCB, Kekhwengulo Lea; president of Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), M Thango; former vice president of KTC, LL Buming; and president of VDB Block Union, Panpan, also spoke on the occasion.
