NST wins Transport Excellence Award

NST officials Shikaho P Yeptho and Nungshilemba receive the
National Public Bus Transport Excellence Award 2023-2024 in New Delhi.
- DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Transport (NST)
has won the National Public Bus Transport Excellence Award 2023-2024 for
achieving the highest percentage of non-traffic revenue over total revenues in
the Hill Service Category of state transport department/undertaking in the
country.
- The award was presented by the Association of the State Road
Transport Undertaking (ASRTU), an apex co-ordinating body of all state
transport undertakings (STU) under the Ministry of Road Transport &
Highways (MoRTH), on March 8 in New Delhi, the NST department stated in a press
release.
- The award was received by General Manager Shikaho P Yeptho
and Deputy General Manager Nungshilemba on behalf of the NST department.
- “Achieving this prestigious award has been made possible due
to the joint effort of all the officers and staff of the department and, above
all, due to the unwavering support, guidance, and motivation of our Advisor,
Transport & Technical Education, and the Secretary, (AHoD), Transport
department, and we are incredibly proud to receive this recognition as the
winner amongst all the state transport in the hill sector of the country,” the
release stated.
- “We are also committed to continuing to improve further our
performance for enabling further enhancement in the overall growth of revenue
to contribute our mite towards the revenue of the state's exchequer,” it added.
