Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): NSSATA Tuensang unit has demanded for the release of pending salaries as per the written assurance No. NSSATA/ULT/01/06, given by the government on November 2, 2016. In a press release, NSSATA, Tuensang unit president, Tochijung Chang and member Selongkyu stated that the SSA teachers were compelled to ask the government for the failures that has brought untold miseries to the teachers for the past years since their appointment. They also mentioned that they have been attending their duties at school in spite of the hardship faced but if the concern authority continued to threaten their rights and security, they would be left with no other choice but resort back to their own course of action. NSSATA, Tuensang unit further reminded the government to respond to their plea and give chance to the teachers to teach at peace and not to protest.
