Dimapur, Feb. 26: Nagaland SSA Teachers’ association (NSSATA) Peren Unit has reminded the state government and concerned authority to hold weightage of the written assurances given on November 2, 2016. The unit requested the authority to take necessary steps and measures for timely release of SSA teacher’s salary.
In a press release issued by the unit president, Huzengluibo, stated that the payment of regular salary became ineffective from the very month of signing the agreement. He also added that the agreement proved to be a failure as the entire SSA teachers were yet to get their salaries and arrears since November 2016, inspite of discharging their duties diligently.
NSSATA Peren unit stated that their salary is the only source and means of sustenance for children’s education and livelihood.
After so many years of facing the same issue, the unit said the Government should have realize that failure on its part to bring about permanent solution to the problem of timely payment of salary has adversely affecting in the delivery of quality education in the state.
Further, NSSATA Peren unit earnestly appealed to the new Government to release the pending salaries and arrears at the earliest.
