NSS special camp of LFI College concludes
DIMAPUR — The Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College concluded its National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp on Saturday at the adopted village of Murise in Chümoukedima.
In a press release, the college stated that special camping is an integral part of the NSS and has a special appeal to youth because it provides unique opportunities for group living, collective experience sharing, and constant interaction with the community.
The camp included educational dialogues with locals as well as exposure sessions between students and village elders, all of which emphasised the importance of contributing to society in line with the NSS motto ‘Not me but you’.
As part of the camp activities, the NSS unit facilitated the donation of food and dustbins to twenty households in the village. In addition, two large dustbins were provided for the church and village hall.
NSS-related activities and morning exercises were conducted throughout the camp duration. On the final day, a picnic was organised to commemorate the successful completion of the NSS camp.
