An update from the college stated that the activities of the camp included home visit, survey of youth not in formal education or regular employment, participation in the church services, interaction with farmers in fields, learning traditional crafts from village leaders and elders, interaction with the youth of the village, cleanliness drive, plantation of tree saplings and distribution of stationeries and small food items.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]It stated that NSS student leader, Pangphi T Khiamniungan, gave an orientation to the campers, the NSS programme officer, Shilumongla T Sangtam, and the camp secretary and assistant professor, Y Toninaro Chongpho, highlighted on the growing environmental concern, role of youth for the progress of any community/ society.
It added that the village community led by the chairman of Khudei village council, B Chejing, extended full support and cooperation and made the camp a success.
