NSRLM sensitisation programme held in Zunheboto

Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): A block level sensitisation programme on Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), RD Block Akuhaito, Zunheboto held at public hall, Akuhaito town on Oct. 22 which was attended by village council chairmen, GBs, village development board (VDB) secretaries, church leaders, STH members, and existing SHG leaders under the block.

Block programme manager (BPM), Akuhaito, P.Ghokheli Shohe, while speaking at the programme, presented an overview about the significance of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and said that the programme, which is meant for the rural poor, will benefit the common people through its diverse community institutions.

Area coordinator, Tokuho N. Sumi, briefly elucidated on the SGSY (Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana) & NRLM and also furnished the progress and specific strategies and indivisible goals of the NRLM.

District coordinator MIS, Hiuto Chophy highlighted the progress and status of the NSRLM in Zunheboto District and DDU-GKY/Skills development which is mainly focused on unemployed and school drop-out youth. He also asserted that NRLM is progressing all over India and Nagaland is one of the top performing states. He appealed to the Village Councils and VDBs to extend full support to the mission.

Khukiye Sema, BDO and BMM, Akuhaito Block also shared his experiences and exhorted the staffs and the participants for the progress and the success of the mission.
