The programme was organised with an objective to review the achievements of FY 18-19 and also to build the capacity of the MIS professionals at the block and district level. Additional Secretary of Rural Development and Mission Director, Athel O Lotha, while delivering the keynote address, stressed on MIS as the backbone of any project when it comes to reporting its progress and achievements. She encouraged the staff to be diligent and sincere in their assigned tasks. She also highlighted in brief the achievements during 2018-2019 particularly in the formation of 2414 SHGs, 140 VLOs, two CLF/ BLF and release of community support fund amounting to INR 1009.18 crore through fund disbursement module of the MIS portal. Chief Operating Officer (COO), M Rollan Lotha, has appreciated the efforts of MIS teams and highlighted the State’s plan and implementation for the FY 19-20. He underscored the importance of Transaction-based SHG Accounting System (TBDAS), which is an online regular tracking mechanism for SHGs on their activities such as meetings, savings, loans, repayment schedules, facilitates auditing, cross-checking of SHGs balance sheet and generating grading sheets for accessing bank loans etc. Reiterating that communitisation has to begin from MIS, he emphasised on ensuring transfer of knowledge and skills to the CBO leaders and their community data entry operator cadres to facilitate analytical studies so as to provide real-time information for effective decision making and corrective measure in the programme implementation at both the mission and CBO level. He also urged the staff's in-depth understanding of the community to develop innovations on micro-level data base management other than the macro-level TBDAS. He stated that it would not only facilitate mapping of other key successful strategies for replications and mitigate challenges and gaps if any, but also foster convergence with other flagship programmes/ departments/ organisations. During the training, district-block teams also presented their progress, challenges and future plans. The training was facilitated by the State team Renvungo Murry, SPM (MIS), and Chenogi Semp, PM (MIS).
