Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission at Kuhuboto in Dimapur conducted a programme about the Poverty Reduction Plan for the financial year 2020-21, which is to be presented during the upcoming Gram Panchayat Development Plan by self-help groups.
The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission at Kuhuboto issued a press release to the media on Saturday informing about the programme.
During the occasion, a junior engineer for Rural Development, Tokiho Chophy, was stated to have urged the self-help groups to come forward and to “take full benefit of the scheme.” He said that the benefits of any scheme can be had ‘only through the willingness and participation of the beneficiaries.’
The various aspects of the scheme were discussed by “thematic area coordinators” in charge, the updates stated.
Chenton Konyak, a block program manager, explained the role of self-help groups in the social and economic development and well being of villages.
The participants included village-level organisation members, ‘community cadres’ from Villages, the updates added.
