DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Shaolin Kungfu Association (ANSKA), Dimapur district branch, conducted a summer jungle adventure training course at the ANSKA training centre, Mengu village in Chümoukedima district.
The camp, held from July 18 to the 20th, was attended by young members, masters and assistants from different branches. Students from Don Bosco School Hr. Sec. School, Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur and other school students also took part in the three-day camp, an update stated.
The training course was held under the supervision of Master Dr. Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo and Master Dr. David Keneingutuo Sorunuo,
Chairman of Mengu village, Thejangulie Kire, the special guest of the inaugural programme, hoisted the ANSKA flag. In his address, he challenged the participants to put God ahead of any endeavour and consistently hold the discipline of the martial arts world.
The SJATC 2024 saw participants between the age of 9 and 35 years.
Training on martial arts skills, simple home etiquettes and thriftiness, self discipline, leadership, treasure hunt game, survival in the wild skills, medicinal plants collection, nature study, etc., were conducted.
The various training activities were conducted to help the participants develop their personality, labour skills, leadership, survival, responsibilities and, above all, discipline them to become self-reliant and an asset to their parents and society, its stated.
While thanking all well wishers and contributors for making the event a success, the association stated that it is looking forward to conduct more such programmes for young people.
The inaugural programme was chaired by ANSKA general secretary Kekhrieselhou Theünuo.
