NSF Trophy: Nousi Rüzhü, Khrietho FC, Kohima College secure victories
KOHIMA — Nousi Rüzhü (Colleges), Khrietho FC Meriema, and Kohima College Kohima won their respective matches on the fourth day of the ongoing 24th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium to advance to the next round.
In the first match on Wednesday, Nousi Rüzhü (Colleges) defeated New Reserve Youth Organisation . with a score of 3-2.
Kedolhouvo Naprantsu and Kedovituo Miasalhou scored for Nousi Rüzhü (Colleges) in the 11th and 51st minutes, respectively. New Reserve Youth Organisation equalised with goals from Mezhuzhoulie Zashümo in the 33rd and 68th minutes. However, a decisive goal from Vikerütuo Tachü in the 70+1st minute secured the victory for Nousi Rüzhü (Colleges).
Mezhuzhoulie Zashümo was named player of the match.
In the second match, Khrietho FC Meriema triumphed over Jalukie Town Youth Organisation with a 2-0 victory. Boresh scored the first goal for Khrietho FC Meriema in the 4th minute, and Petevizo Kezieo added a second in the 42nd minute. Jalukie Town Youth Organisation, meanwhile, remained scoreless.
Petevizo Kezieo was awarded player of the match.
In the third match of the day, Kohima College Kohima defeated Halcyon FC 3-1.
Kelevi Seyie scored the opening goal for Kohima College Kohima in the 46th minute, giving them the lead. Pauzie Haikuibe then added two more goals in the 64th and 69th minutes. Although Mangkholen Kuki scored the sole goal for Halcyon FC in the 66th minute.
Menuokhrielie was adjudged as player of the match.
