KOHIMA — Asüfü Christian Institute, Pehlum Lamhil Lawn Academy, and Delai FC, all from Manipur, dominated their respective matches on the fifth day of the ongoing 24th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima, advancing to the next round.

In the first match on Thursday, Asüfü Christian Institute defeated Sahei FC 2-0, with goals scored by Ngararsingh Raikhan in the sixth minute and Elozüo Kayina in the 36th minute.

Dhanaraj Singh of Asüfü Christian Institute was named player of the match.

In the second match, Pehlum Lamhil Lawn Academy defeated Onyx Titans FC 7-1.

Lunminlal scored early in the ninth minute for Pehlum Lamhil Lawn Academy and added another goal in the 62nd, while Honminlun Haokip scored in the 38th minute. Ginminthang Haokip netted a hat trick, scoring in the 45th, 59th, and 64th minutes. Haothensei also added a goal in the 66th minute.

The lone goal for Onyx Titans FC was scored by Yekuto in the 68th minute. Ginminthang Haokip was named the player of the match.

The third match was a scoring spree for Delai FC against Khrietho FC, ending with a 15-0 victory. Thonggoumang opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and added more goals in the 13th, 16th, 27th, and 65th minutes.

Haonunreng scored a hat trick in the 4th, 28th, and 63rd minutes, while Seiginhao added two goals in the 35th and 42nd minutes. Further goals came from Lamminhao 45th minute, Thanglenlal 57th and 61st minutes, and Mangminlun 70+1 minute.

An own goal by Keneisekho Yashü in the 32nd minute added to Khrietho FC’s misery. Thonggoumang of Delai FC was awarded the player of the match.
