Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has declared that it has decided to Indian Republic Day on Jan. 26 to show its resentment on the government of Indian for passing the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 in the Lok Sabha despite protests against it. “In this regard, all the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies are directed to boycott in their respective jurisdiction and further direct all the educational institutions and the students not to participate in any of the government activities or events related to the R-Day celebrations,” read the statement from NSF. The Nagas’ apex students’ body has also demanded the Nagaland government to come out clearly on its stand on the Bill rather than confusing the general public with “press statements” and “counter statements.”
