Dimapur, April 13 (EMN): Expressing concern at the ‘unregulated functioning’ of coaching centres in Nagaland, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has asked the state government to introduce mechanisms to monitor such centres.
In a representation to the chief secretary of Nagaland, the NSF stated that there was ‘no proper guideline of functioning and no mechanism to monitor the fee structure’ of the ‘mushrooming coaching institutes in the state.’
The NSF submitted four suggestions to the chief secretary: strict verification of existing coaching institutes; criteria for establishing new coaching institutes; fees should be charged according to facilities available to students; and institutes should be located in environments ‘conducive for studying.’
