THE Naga Students’ Federation has intimated the Commissioner and Secretary, Technical Education, about alleged ‘anomalies’ in the ‘merit provisional selection of students’ to undergo MBBS and BDS courses through Nagaland State Pre Medical Test (NSPMT), 2014’.
In a letter to the Commissioner and Secretary today, NSF vice president Joseph Ngouri and assistant general secretary Kesoso Christopher Ltu said it is uncalled for that certain anomalies and lack of transparency surfaced in the merit selection list thereby denying the meritorious students their legitimate position and privileges. This happened at a time when hundreds of Naga students are appearing competitive examination to undergo courses in MBBS and BDS, the letter said.
The NSF in order to deliver justice to the merit candidates and to maintain the credibility of the NSPMT strongly demanded that the merit selection list of candidates for MBBS and BDS courses should be produced strictly after fulfilling the terms and condition as mentioned in Point No. iv of the Department advertisement No.DTE/TECH-A/17/2014/ dated the 23th July, 2014 for Nagaland State Pre Medical Test (NSPMT).
The Federation further demanded the department to clarify to it and general public the discrepancies surrounding the criteria of selection of candidates who could not secure 40% cut-off mark in the NSPMT making the list to undergo MBBS and BDS courses.
