Dimapur, Sep. 28 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Monday stated that Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) for ‘reasons best known to the NPSC’ hasn’t announced the results of the prelims examination of the Combined Civil Services examination 2019 conducted on November 30, 2019.

‘The unexplained delay of more than ten months to announce the result of the preliminary stage of the state's most prestigious competitive examination by the top recruiting board has been the reason for much pain and frustration to those diligently aspiring to join the state bureaucracy by cracking the examination,’ the NSF stated in a press statement.

The NSF has therefore appealed to the NPSC to take all necessary actions and ensure that the prelims results for NPSC-2019 are released at the earliest.

‘Despite the existing threat posed by Covid-19, this cannot be the excuse for the state government from providing employment opportunities to the youths of the state. As the whole world adapts to living with the virus, Nagaland cannot be an exception. Keeping that in mind, the federation appeals to the state government and NPSC to take all necessary steps in issuing the notification for the NPSC-2020,’ it read.

Further, it stated that the notification for recruitment to all the existing vacancies in group-C category be issued at the earliest through the newly set-up NSSB, it added.
