Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Thursday appealed to student and youth communities to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 SOPs throughout the festive season and beyond, 'as the cure to the disease is yet to be made available to us'.

According to a statement, NSF stated that it was "perplexed at the complacent attitude of a section of the Naga youth and students spread across all Naga inhabited areas by not adhering to the SOPs laid down by the competent authorities".

"The federation is anxious at the risk posed by the many superspreading events scheduled during the festive season," it said.

It further appealed the students to be 'torchbearers in instilling a sense of discipline to the general public in order to contain the spread of the disease if not stop it altogether'.

The federation has directed all its federating units and sub-ordinate bodies to ensure all scheduled conferences, sports meets, jubilees and other events are carried out in full conformity with the laid down norms. It has also requested the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies that their respective constituent units are properly instructed on the same.

It has directed all its units to dedicate a brief session of their scheduled event for creating awareness on Covid-19 to all the participants of the event.
